San Diego Academy of Performing Arts
Dehesa Charter School offers classes at the San Diego Academy of Performing Arts (APA). APA Studios is one of the premier professional performing arts studios in San Diego County.
During this first semester, students will receive voice, acting, and dance instruction for two hours each week. Students in grades K-6 will have classes on Tuesdays from 10:15am – 12:15pm. Students in grades 7-12 will have classes on Wednesdays from 10:15am – 12:15pm. Instruction will be provided by professional actors, dancers, and voice coaches.
At this time, Benjamin Lopez, a graduate of New York University, will be providing instruction in acting. Bryan Balderman, a tenor with the San Diego Opera, will be providing instruction in voice. Victoria Mahdion, a graduate of UCSD will be providing instruction in dance.
