Dehesa Charter School has been Charlotte's work home since 2003. As well as being an Education Faciliator she works with Dehesa High School students in Riverside County who are taking any one of Dehesa's Community Learning Courses. Charlotte has a B.S. Degree in Food and Nutrition, Multiple Subject Credential, Masters Degree in Education and holds a Career Technical Education Credential.
As a teacher at the Riverside Learning Center she has previously taught Global Foods, Science in the Kitchen and Advanced Cooking. Currently her great joy is to teach students Computer Skills. Students have created their own Blogs and learned to use the many tools on Google Documents.
For Spring 2012 Computer students will tackle using the Microsoft programs, Publisher, PhotoStory3, Power Point and Movie Maker.
Her goal is to inspire creative ways to show learning in a multi-media setting. Photos below are a selection of slides from her 6th through 8th grade students Google Presentations.
